Lisa grew up in Geelong, attending Sacred Heart College, before studying medicine at Monash University. She completed her palliative care specialty training at University Hospital Geelong and Royal Melbourne Hospital.
She has a keen interest in symptom management, education and palliative care research.
Dr Mounsey is a consultant palliative care specialist at Barwon Health, Geelong. She holds an honorary position at the Palliative Care Clinical Studies Collaborative. She enjoys teaching Deakin University medical students and supervision of palliative medicine trainees.
Lisa lives locally with her husband, two children and their dog Shirley, the Lagotto Romagnolo. She enjoys gardening, making coffee and having adventures with her family.
