Geelong Oncology

Our service

Geelong Oncology Group provides specialist treatment for any solid organ malignancy, including:

  • Breast cancer
  • Prostate cancer
  • Bowel cancer
  • Lung cancer
  • Melanoma
  • Pancreatic cancer
  • Bladder cancer
  • Kidney cancer
  • Gynaecological cancer, including ovarian and uterine cancer
  • Other gastrointestinal cancer, including stomach, oesophagus, liver and bile duct cancer.

For haematological malignancy (e.g. lymphoma, leukaemia), Geelong Haematology is also located at St John of God Hospital.

We also provide specialist palliative care services for people with any malignant or non-malignant life-limiting disease.

Our facilities

Our outpatient consulting suites are located on the 6th floor of St John of God Hospital.

We are supported by the highly skilled and friendly nursing staff at the St John of God Oncology Centre on the 5th level for day procedures, such as chemotherapy, as well as the specialist oncology ward on the 3rd level for inpatient care.

Our specialist oncology nurse co-ordinators provide support and advice for patients throughout their care journey.
